Customer responsibilities / prerequisites
To ensure a smooth installation for Shower Screen, please confirm and prepare the following before the installation date:
-
A site assessment and feasibility review have been completed, and the final Shower Screen dimensions, total length, glass configuration, door position, opening direction and support arrangement are confirmed according to the approved design drawing.
-
Wall construction is complete, structurally sound and suitable to support the Shower Screen and its mounting hardware, including the additional load and leverage associated with the longer installation.
-
All demolition, tile work, waterproofing, plastering, painting, flooring, shower tray, curb and related bathroom works are completed before installation.
-
Walls and floors are sufficiently level, plumb, flat and stable for the approved Shower Screen design. Any significant deviation that could affect the alignment or safe installation of the longer Shower Screen must be corrected before the installation date.
-
Waterproofing is fully completed and cured before drilling or fixing work begins.
-
The installation area is fully cleared of old Shower Screens, shower doors, furniture, packaging, tools and debris, with clear and unobstructed access to the shower area.
-
Sufficient access, doorway clearance, corridor space, turning space and working room are available for the safe delivery, lifting, handling and positioning of glass panels.
-
The shower tray, curb, floor and wall surfaces are complete and capable of receiving the specified fixings, channels, brackets and sealant.
-
Any required wall reinforcement, concealed blocking, structural support, suitable anchors or additional support points are provided in advance where the wall construction cannot safely support the longer Shower Screen using standard fixings.
-
All required products, including glass panels, doors, wall channels, brackets, hinges, handles, supports, seals, gaskets, screws and other mounting hardware, are delivered and on site before installation.
-
The customer acknowledges that larger or longer glass panels require careful handling and that installation may be postponed if the site conditions, access, wall support or safety conditions are unsuitable.
-
The shower area is not used until the silicone sealant and other installation materials have adequately cured.
- After installation, the customer must inspect the Shower Screen for any water leakage around silicone-sealed joints and check all functional components, including door alignment, opening and closing, hinges, handles, rollers, brackets, supports and seals. Any defects or concerns must be reported to INFINITE within 72 hours of installation, together with relevant photos or videos where applicable. If no concerns are reported within this period, the installation will be deemed completed and accepted by the customer.Any subsequent adjustment, follow-up visit or rectification requested by the customer that is not attributable to an installation defect or the installer’s workmanship may be subject to additional charges.
